Dancing with the All-Stars
Ireland’s leading GAA players don their best suits for awards night, but it was the WAGs who stole the show on red carpet
IT WAS a case of 50 shades of red when the GAA WAGS lined out to support their men at an awards ceremony on Friday night.
The wives and girlfriends of Ireand’s fittest men turned up the glam stakes at the PwC All Star Awards 2018 in Dublin’s Convention Centre.
And scarlet was the dominant colour of the night as they sashayed down the red carpet in various slinky, strapless, and Grecian-style dresses.
The players looked the part too in their statement suits as they paid tribute to the sporting heroics of the county players.
In the first award of the night, Kerry’s attacking sensation David Clifford claimed the Young Footballer of the Year award, while Dublin centrefielder Brian Fenton was named Footballer of the Year. Limerick were the big winners as the 2018 hurling All Star team was revealed, with Seán Finn, Richie English, Declan Hannon, Cian Lynch, Graeme Mulcahy and Dan Morrissey, all picking up gongs for the All-Ireland champions.
