Where you live determines how much your car is at risk from thieves. Not surprisingly, Dublin comes tops with 642 thefts – some theft-related incidents included – in the latest three months for which statistics are available, JulySeptember 2018. Next comes Cork, then Meath and Kildare with Limerick fifth on 37 thefts. Within Dublin, the north and south inner cities are surprisingly low in thefts at 58 and 53. West Dublin has four times as many and north Dublin three times more than either inner city area.
