THERE’S nothing like a sizzling Easter weekend to bring celebrities out to play in the sunshine.

With mercury rising and temperatures hitting highs of 23 degrees, the long break, combined with sweltering heat, is very much a family affair for the likes of Rosanna Davison, Ros Purcell and new mother Nadia Forde.

Rosanna Davison took to the skies in her family chopper to share an awe-inspiring picture of blue skies over Hook Head and the southeast coast. She is enjoying the bank holiday weekend with some stable companions at their holiday home in Ballymoney in Wexford.

Ros Purcell headed to Tipperary for some family fun with her rescue pet pooch Willay, who happily basked in the al fresco friendly weather. In Britain, Nadia Forde took the chance to treat her daughter Wyatt to a day at the park.

And the good news is that many parts of the country will be warmer than the Mediterranean again today, with highs of 20 degrees expected.

Tomorrow will be mainly dry, though there is a possibility of some rain in the west and northwest. Met Éireann forecaster Harm Luijkx expects a ‘good deal of sunshine and it will be dry’ over the rest of weekend.

He said: ‘Rain could come into the west on Monday, but the latest forecast suggests that it won’t. Temperatures should stay above normal for next week and be somewhere in the high teens.’

And for those taking advantage of the sunshine to raid the summer wardrobes, forecasters say temperatures will remain above normal for this time of year, from Tuesday to Saturday, with bright sunshine in places across the country.
