ROSANNA DAVISON and her husband Wesley Quirke are set to become parents, thanks to a surrogate mother, in three weeks and while they have already revealed that they are expecting a little girl, they are keeping their daughter’s name under wraps.

Former Miss World-turned-nutritionist and author Rosanna announced last month that her and Wesley are expecting a baby girl via a surrogate next month. Taking to Instagram she shared the delightful news that two will become three in November.

Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday this week, Rosanna, 35, revealed that they have already chosen a name for their dearly wished-for daughter, but they are keeping it a secret – for now.

In fact, she even said that they have not told either set of grandparents – Rosanna’s parents, singer Chris de Burgh and Diane Davison, and Wesley’s mum and dad casino millionaire Richard Quirke and his wife Ann. Rosanna was on hand at the TanOrganic Blogger Awards on Wednesday night. And she was positively glowing as she talked about the imminent arrival of their little ray of sunshine.

‘It’s been a very long process. We signed the first papers to begin the process in January two years ago and she is due now in just under three weeks. So, it has been a long road but it is totally worth it. We just can’t wait to meet her.’

Ahead of becoming a first-time mum, Rosanna has been testdriving prams as she prepares for life with a buggy and a baby.

She has huge praise for husband Wesley. ‘He will be a terrific father. He is great with children so he will be an amazing dad.’

While this is the couple’s first time at parenthood she laughed and said that their two pet pooches, Pomeranians Teddy and Leo, have given them good training.

‘Minding our dogs has been good training,’ she laughed, ‘they need so much looking after. Walking them, getting them fed, before we leave for work, rushing home to them, picking up after them. They have given us a little training into caring for a little one,’ she said.

Rosanna told the MoS they are planning to be present at the birth for the exact moment their little daughter enters the world.

She said the couple had ‘dreamed of being parents for many years’, adding: ‘We’re so thankful for the wonders of modern medicine.’

She also thanked ‘our amazing surrogate for keeping our little daughter healthy and safe’.
