DRAMA The Loudest Voice (All seven parts) ★★★★★ Sterling biopic from the US in which Russell Crowe dominates the screen as Roger Ailes, the man behind Fox News, the controvers­ial but wildly successful US news network. Look out for Sienna Miller as his wife, Beth – ultimately, the most poignant role in the whole piece.

DRAMA Westworld (Seasons 1-2) ★★★★★ The first season of HBO’s sci-fi western is a feast for both the eyes and the mind and, while season two treads similar ground, it’s still great TV. Season three is due in 2020.
