HOW OUR RECIPES WORK

-

The recipes here include lots of information to make life easy for you. We have worked with a nutritionist, but all of these calculations and dietary indicators are only for guidance – make sure you also check the ingredients and food labels yourself.

If you are freezing your meals, you can do so for around 3-6 months – but up to 3 months is ideal. Always make sure food is defrosted thoroughly before reheating.

KCALS PER SERVING

All of our recipes have been worked out as complete meals, using portion sizes for any accompaniments as advised by the British Nutrition Foundation.

GLUTEN-FREE

We have marked any gluten-free recipes with an icon (see right). We have also made suggestions for the use of gluten-free variants of some common ingredients, such as Worcestershire sauce. But please make sure you check any labelling to ensure that products you buy are gluten-free.

VEGETARIAN

Nearly half of the recipes in our new book are suitable for vegetarians and you can make more of our recipes meat-free by swapping out non-vegetarian ingredients such as Parmesan cheese and Worcestershire sauce for veggie alternatives.

TASTE TESTED

A group of two hundred Pinch of Nom fans have been huddled together on a secret Facebook group to test these recipes. Each recipe has been tested by 20 people, all submitting feedback and suggestions to ensure that we’re not the only ones who love the food in our books. This process has been essential in the creation of our new book and we want to extend a huge thank you to these members for their invaluable input.
