Bruce Lee’s bestknown film is a triumph. Propelling us through a series of unforgettable set pieces is a solid plot that has Lee’s Shaolin master (above) spying on a crimelord for the British government, while taking part in a tournament on his private island.

This strange Southern mystery from director Lee Daniels got a lukewarm reception from critics, who didn’t think it was up to Daniels’s searing breakthrough, Precious. In fact, it’s worth a look, especially for Nicole Kidman’s out-ofcharacter trailer-trash turn.

NEW! Big Little Lies (Season 2) ★★★★ Although it was completely unnecessary, season two of HBO’s starstudded drama is very watchable indeed. The addition of Meryl Streep (above) as Perry’s mum, who unpicks the lies told by the women in season one, gives it the oomph it needs. From Friday.
NEW! Deadwood: The Movie ★★★★ This feature-length one-off brings a poignant full stop to the HBO western, 13 years after it ended. It’s 1889, and the future is coming to Deadwood in the form of telephone lines – but a battle must be fought first. Timothy Olyphant and Ian McShane return. From Friday.

Ozark (Season 3) ★★★★ The new run of this Breaking Bad-style drama picks up with the casino in full swing, and everything between accidental crimelords Marty and Wendy (Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, both great) is all smiles on the surface. It doesn’t take long for that facade to crack, though, and this season is all the more fascinating as a result. From Friday.
DOCUMENTARY Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem And Madness (All seven parts) ★★★★ Extraordinary truecrime series from the studio behind the Fyre documentary, which unfolds in the eclectic world of big-cat owners – one in particular.
NEW! Crip Camp ★★★★ Inspirational and eye-opening documentary that follows the story of a camp ‘run by hippies’ for disabled youths in the US in the early 1970s. From Wednesday.
