TOP Irish makeup artist, Sharleen Collins reveals her go-to products for creating her signature Bronzy Glow:
■ Before every makeup application, be it for a client or on a shoot, I always ensure the skin is cleansed thoroughly to allow the prep products absorb into the skin.
Firstly, I sweep a cotton pad doused in Bioderma Hydrabio H2O Micelle Solution to remove any residue product, then I apply suitable skincare. I like to use Pixi Glow Tonic Toner, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum and Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base to pump moisture into the skin.
■ Pre foundation, I recommend using Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Oil-Free, Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid and Crème De La Mer Lip Balm. When it comes to prep products I find using my fingers works best to blend everything into the skin. With Makeup I always grab tools from my 15 piece Luxury Brush Collection, available now via cosmetics.sharleencollins.com.
■ For the base, I use my Stippling
Foundation Brush and gradually buff in Nars Sheer Glow foundation onto the skin.
For any areas that need a little bit of extra coverage or colour correcting, I use Tarte Shape Tape and my Concealer Brush, which is small enough to allow you to buff and blend product into the smallest of areas.
■ To set the base, I use my large fluffy powder brush to press Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder into the skin.
■ To add life and definition to the face, I use my go-to contour and highlighting duo - Mac Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinishin Medium Dark and Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop Highlighter.
■ I blend the contour into the hollows of the face and up onto the temples, while the highlighter is lightly swooshed over the cheekbones and down the bridge of the nose. I really like Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Lightwand in Peachgasm on the cheeks to add a hint of colour.
■ For the eyes, I always start with the brows. Using the spooly side of my Eyebrow brush, I lightly work in Soap Brows. This lifts the hairs and add definition and holds product all day long.
■ When it comes to product, I use both the Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbow Gel in Soft Brown and Mac Cosmetics Eye Brows Styler in Lingering to create hair-like strokes.
■ On the eyes, I use the Amrezy Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC Feline Eyeliner and Inglot Black Gel Liner with Tatti Lashes in T4 to finish it off.
■ Keeping the lips neutral, I use a variety of products from Mac Cosmetics, starting by lining the lips with Stripdown lip pencil, Kinda Sexy Lipstick and finishing off with PRRR lipgloss.
