Brian Dowling set to spend lockdown at Pippa’s K Club home

- – Niamh Walsh

BROADCASTER and Big Brother alumnus Brian Dowling has been holed up with his best friend Pippa O’Connor (pictured together above) in her house on the grounds of the exclusive K Club in Co. Kildare.

Dowling mostly lives in London but found himself in Ireland during the coronavirus crisis and is sharing the lockdown with Pippa.

Brian has been keeping himself busy during the restrictions and has been plugging away at his podcast, Death Becomes Him.

Sources tell us that Dowling is hoping his popular podcast reaches the ears of RTÉ radio bosses.

Dowling is the forerunner to replace Eoghan McDermott on the 2Fm Breakfast Show. McDermott was due to depart this summer and the hunt for his replacement has been on since we announced earlier this year he was moving to Australia.

YOU can call Mick Jagger many things, but sheepish isn’t one of them. The Rolling Stones star has welcomed four new additions to his family – a ewe and three lambs. Mel Hamrick, right, Jagger’s girlfriend of six years and mother of his son Deveraux, shared the news on Instagram. No names as yet but if one of them is a black sheep, surely Keith would be apt? WE may be in lockdown, but Ronnie Wood has been zooming all over the world to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. The 72-year-old guitarist, who has been sober since 2010, has embraced technology and goes to AA via video conferencing app Zoom. He says: ‘I attended a meeting the other day which took place in Vegas but there were guys there from all over America.’ GILLIAN ANDERSON believes she is so similar to her oddball sex therapist character in the hit Netflix series Sex Education that her family don’t think she is actually acting for the role.

The 51-year-old, right, who is dating The Crown creator Peter Morgan, admitted: ‘My sister told me that more than ever when she’s watching it, she’s going, “Oh, there’s Gill!” So I guess we’re even more similar than I perhaps realised.’

As the show’s Dr Jean Milburn, Gillian is no stranger to cringeworthy conversations with her fictional teenage son, so I bet her real daughter, 25-year-old Piper, has some interesting stories about growing up!
