Not so lazy, hazy lockdown days
Vogue Williams’ busy life has been slowed down thanks to Covid-19, but the blooming mum is making the most of her second pregnancy at home with family. By Niamh Walsh
VOGUE Williams may be locked down in London but she’s keeping busy into her seventh month of pregnancy. The Dubliner and her husband Spencer Matthews are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby daughter in July. But she hasn’t been taking it too easy.
Vogue is up at the crack of dawn for her 6am Sunday starts at London’s Heart radio station. She’s also been sharing videos of workouts on the terrace of her luxurious London home, proving that pregnancy hasn’t slowed her down.
The mother of one-year-old Theodore has been keeping her spirits and fitness levels up as she starts her day with exercise.
Much like her sartorial choices, Vogue has been mixing up her daily exercise of high intensity programmes with light yoga and Pilates. She has also been sharing her exercises for her isolating fans to follow.
Gym bunny Vogue has knocked her fitness wardrobe out of the fashion park as she usually opts for flattering and functional leggings which she brightens up with tank tops in various colours to keep her routines bright.
She’s also become a big fan of loungewear. ‘Who knew
I would l need so many tracksuits and pairs of slippers?’ she asked. ‘I usually live in gym gear but over the last while I’m living in tracksuits. Easy to wear, comfortable and you kind of look dressed up.’
This week she was a virtual rainbow in loungewear when she showcased a tie-dyed two piece cotton tracksuit from hip brand
Muse and Moda. And, fittingly for a child of the Eighties, Vogue is bringing neon back as she debuted a blindingly bright green neon tracksuit from the same brand.
The presenter has kept her lockdown hair and make-up at minimal maintenance levels.
Tying her long blonde hair up in a messy bun has been her go-to lockdown look, and it certainly passes the style grade as she looks effortlessly cool while pushing Theodore in his pram in the park or in the city. With her hairstylist Ceira Lambert socially distanced in Dublin, Vogue has been tending to her own hair with a fedora on hand to add a touch of old-school glam.
Her sunkissed tan is courtesy of her own brand, Bare by Vogue. The tan, which comes in different shades in foam and
lotion versions, has been a big success for Vogue.
But with the sun peeping out these last few weeks she has been bronzing nicely on the wrapround balcony of her two-bedroom apartment with stunning views of London.
This week Vogue was walking on the lockdown wild side in a leopard print swimsuit and sunnies and looked the perfect stayat-homer. But it’s not all sunbathing and fake tanning as she is kept busy with Theodore.
Vogue, Spencer and Theodore look to have really splurged on family fun times during these bad times and the couple share many pictures of them playing with their son in their open-plan living room. And while she may be the envy of many women for her clothes collection, it could be her hubby that inspires the most envy as Spencer is the resident cook at Casa Vogue.
The former Made In Chelsea star was a standout contestant on
Celebrity MasterChef and at home his place is in the kitchen where he whips up delicious dishes for his family.
As eating out is off the menu at the moment, Vogue and Spencer are doing their best to enjoy romantic times at home while keeping young Theodore occupied.
‘I’m so used to being really busy that I sometimes feel bad when I don’t get a lot done in a day,’ Vogue says.‘To be honest, it’s hard to get anything done besides looking after T and keeping him occupied, so some days that’s all I do,’ she admits.
To wind down the day, Spencer has been enjoying a tipple of one of his low-alcohol drinks from the Clean Liquor Company.
Spencer launched the brand last year and revealed he gave up drinking shortly after becoming a father after deciding his habits were becoming addictive.
‘Alcohol, drinking full strength liquor at least, is a thing of the past for me,’ he said.
Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it, Vogue.
The 34-year-old Irish model certainly makes pregnancy dressing during a lockdown look easy as she heads to work as host of
Sunday Breakfast at Heart FM in London. Each weekend, she wears something en vogue to accommodate her growing bump, a baby sister for big bro Theodore, who is only one year old.
‘The best thing about a second pregnancy is that you don’t have much time to think about it which actually makes it easier,’ the Portmarnock native told her 754,000 followers on Instagram. The fitness enthusiast and her husband, reality star Spencer Matthews, 31, found out the gender of their second child at 10 weeks, such was their excitement and impatience to know.
Vogue has since been busy preparing her little lady’s wardrobe, while stepping out in an array of edgy outfits that go beyond the usual ‘nicey nicey’ maternity parameters.
From latex look leggings to knee high boots and minidresses, it’s clear her momma didn’t call her Vogue for nothin’.
For anyone post pregnancy or just post lockdown binge-fest, we love Spanx double zip leggings at Brown Thomas for €130.
Vogue obviously doesn’t need the belt for her Essentiel Antwerp orange tiered strapless dress but we like that she has that option after her daughter’s due date in
July.
The fashion influencer shares all her outfit deets, as the kids say, on her Instagram, including the pastel, ’60s print dress (below) from Hayley Menzies, ‘for life’s refined rebels’.
A fan of round sunglasses and can-do white trainers, Vogue’s years on the catwalk are paying off style dividends as she struts to work, giving us a welcome distraction from the news and fashion inspiration as the countdown begins to the arrival of baby number two for Vogue and Spencer.
