Celebs get their glam on in salons as they’re let loose on first outings
THE lifting of restrictions and the long-awaited reopening of hair salons, restaurants and bars has seen the clatter of celebrity feet beating a path for their first post-lockdown treat.
While there were some suspicions of sneaky hair and beauty care evidenced by snaps of root-free dos, and perfectly polished nails, for most, not even VIP status could confer access to their favourite pamper treatments, necessary maintenance or a table at their usual haunts.
But with doors open, they are rushing into chairs with RTÉ sportscaster Evanne Ní Chuilinn observing distancing guidelines as she had her blonde locks topped up with professional highlights.
The popular presenter is pictured at Debonair Hair Salon wearing a red polka-dot mask and a disposable gown with highlighting strips working their magic on her platinum mane.
Similarly, stylist Sonia Lennon donned a trendy cream embroidered mask as friend and, colleague Michaela Doyle went ‘blonder and bolder’. Former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter, left, opted for a facial freeze to ensure a clear complexion for her first outing at Balfe’s bar and eaterie in The Westbury Mall. Amy Huberman got her glam on in a little black dress and towering gold block heels as she stepped out with her husband Brian O’Driscoll for dinner a deux.
Actress Jenny Dixon and politician husband Tom Neville wore matching masks as they ventured out for their first date al fresco in months.
And Pippa O’Connor and hubby Brian Ormond stepped out with close friends Brian Dowling and hubby Arthur Gourounlian.
