My Little Big Day

9.35PM, RTé ONE ★★★★ The traditional Irish wedding was one of the casualties of the pandemic. Many couples decided to postpone their big days until they could host a large gathering again, but this documentary focuses on six pairs who opted to go ahead. They include Ciara Boyle and Brendan Patterson (right), who brought their wedding forward in the hope that the bride’s terminally ill grandfather would be able to attend, and Dani and Jo, who explain why, as a same-sex couple, it was important for them to be on an equal footing with committed heterosexual couples.

My Tribe – Mo Threibh

7.30PM, RTé ONE ★★★

The second episode focuses on the indie scene, which is hard to define, but usually involves guitar music and a DIY attitude. For Niamh Ní Shuilleabháin, it was a chance to find something other than the chart music played at her local nightclub.

The Drowning

9PM, VIRGIN ONE ★★★

Jill Halfpenny stars in this new thriller as a woman whose son went missing nine years ago. She spots a teenager who she believes could be her child, but when the police dismiss her claims, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

Unforgotten

9PM, UTV ★★★★

It’s in the interview scenes that the drama really lives in crime shows, and now, the suspects are essentially interviewing each other – meeting up in secret, trying to see if they can trust each other and get their stories straight. Tense stuff.
