Posh toasts her Paris triumph (and thawing of wedding feud) with shots of €680 tequila
IT WAS a double celebration for Victoria Beckham in the City of Love. Her first-ever Paris Fashion Week show was made all the better by the thawing of the feud with daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz, who cheered her on from the front row.
To mark the occasion, Mrs Beckham, who is said to be ‘overjoyed’ at the attendance of Ms Peltz and her eldest son Brooklyn, knocked back shots of Don Julio 1942 tequila – which costs €680 per bottle.
The 48-year-old also treated guests to a steak and chips dinner at her favourite restaurant Girafe, which is close to the Eiffel Tower.
However, the designer – who dressed for the occasion in a midi gown from her own collection – enjoyed a rather healthier meal of steamed fish.
Shortly after showing off her Spring 2023 fashion range on the catwalk, Mrs Beckham led her own fashion parade, made up of husband David and daughter Harper, as she left her €13,000-anight hotel, La Reserve, to make her way to the after-party.
She teamed her bright green dress with striking red open-toe sock boots, while the former England footballer opted for an ice blue suit and a cross-body man bag. Meanwhile, 11-year-old Harper wore a €2,200 silk-and-lace dress from her mother’s 2021 collection, with a pair of yellow trainers.
The Beckhams’ other two sons – aspiring popstar Cruz, 17, and footballer Romeo, 20 – also attended the celebratory dinner, with Cruz in double denim and Romeo in black cargo trousers and a sweatshirt. Among the celebrities on hand to help Mrs Beckham mark the occasion were Eva Longoria and supermodel Gigi Hadid, who had earlier starred in the show.
Mrs Beckham’s parents Jackie and Tony were also there, along with staff from her fashion label.
Sources close to the Beckhams say there has been a ‘thawing’ in the frosty relations between the former Spice Girl and Brooklyn’s new wife.
‘If Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t want to be [at the show], they wouldn’t have been,’ a friend said. ‘As soon as they were all in the same room, things felt a lot better.’
