The ‘fresh, stylish’ new Lennon Courtney X Kilkenny Design collection is already creating a fashionista ‘surge’ — despite only having just launched online and in a very select few Kilkenny Design outlets.

Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney, who previously collaborated with Arnotts and Dunnes Stores, may have found their perfect match with the Kilkenny chain and the fledgling partnership sees them adding homewares to their already much admired portfolio. The design duo’s goal now is to establish ‘a total lifestyle brand across clothing, accessories and homewares’ with a vibrant look to ‘infuse confidence, colour and comfort into stylish wardrobes and homes’.

Kilkenny CEO Evelyn Moynihan said of the launch: ‘The reaction to the first Lennon Courtney X Kilkenny Design has been phenomenal. We’ve seen a surge of customers signing up online for early access and it is clear that Irish consumers love this fresh, stylish, and inclusive lifestyle collection.’

The new range features a considered edit of pieces including jacquard and colour block knitwear, trousers, skirts, dresses, tailored coats, and jackets, along with special occasion wear. The duo’s love of vivid rich colour and print is captured in the Natalis print in a striking magenta and orange colourway, which appears in a coatigan, jumper, skirt and scarf.

The range, with its trademark bold colours and contemporary designs, also caters to all sizes with options available from XS up to XXL (sizes 8-18). Pricing starts at just €55 for a top and ranges up to €250 for the limited-edition statement fashion pieces like the Super Moon dress and the Timeless Classic coat.

Most styles have pockets, all are versatile, (particularly the reversible cape, which can be worn multiple ways) and embrace elevating details such as big sleeves, reversible fabrics, waist-cinching belts and contrast colour pops.

Every piece is elegant, eminently wearable and will become a wardrobe favourite.

Fashion accessories such as purses, card holders, cross body and tote-style bags are made from sustainable vegan leather and come in bold, colour block combinations. Cheery and cosy scarves and hats mirror the clothing colour palettes and themes.

Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney see the project as more than a new lifestyle brand — they also see it as a commitment to sustainability. The collection is Irish designed with a focus on quality and seasonless style.

The materials used reflect this ethos, with recycled vegan leather for handbags, BCI cotton for homewares and clothing, and sustainable mango or acacia wood used for homewares.
