DWTS professional and his new f lame adopt gorgeous little Blu from DSPCA
DANCING with the Stars pro Ryan McShane has found love again – and a new puppy – since splitting with his model ex, Thalia Heffernan.
McShane and Heffernan dated for two years after they met on the popular RTÉ show.
While together, the couple adopted two whippets – Leonard and Charlie – from the DSPCA, and Heffernan even went on to become an ambassador for the Dublin-based animal welfare charity.
However, their relationship ended after Heffernan moved to New York to pursue modelling work.
In October, McShane confirmed Heffernan ‘ended the relationship with me and the dogs… and returned to New York’.
But last month he uploaded a cryptic post on his Instagram page alongside a picture of Leonard and Charlie with the words: ‘After being removed from my care.’
He went on to pay an emotional public tribute to the dogs, adding: ‘Not for one minute, day, week, month or year did I give up on you! You were both number one. Thank you for saving me and making me a better person.
‘Thank you for teaching me unconditional love. Thank you for getting me out of bed when I felt low. Until we meet again someday. But most of all… Thank you.’
Since splitting with Heffernan, McShane has found love again with fellow professional dancer, Sylwia Matuszewska – and the couple have already set up home in Dublin.
And the loved-up couple have moved to create their own little family by adopting a puppy, which they have named Blu.
Once again, McShane sought out the help of rescuers at the DSPCA to help him find his new four-legged friend.

And Blu already appears very happy in his new home in social media posts of him cosying up in front of a blazing fire and Christmas tree.
Heffernan, meanwhile, has since moved home from New York and is regularly seen out and about with her devoted dogs by her side.
Enjoying the single life, the model has moved in with the singer Erica Cody, also a celebrity dancer on last season’s Dancing with the Stars.
