FORMER model turned presenter, outdoors enthusiast and culinary author Roz Purcell is also cooking up a financial storm.

Recently filed accounts for the talented Co. Tipperary beauty’s company, Natural Born Feeder Limited, show it quadrupled its net assets in the space of just 12 months.

It posted healthy net assets of €238,877 for the 2021 accounting year, a significant rise on the €55,113 recorded the pervious year.

The rise in profits at the company – which derives its name from her 2016 best-selling book of the same name – correlate with the release of her third

cookbook, No Fuss Vegan, which hit bookshelves in January 2020.

Since then, Roz has spread her entrepreneurial wings further, promoting healthy outdoor pursuits, teaming up this year with Leave No Trace Ireland to launch the ‘Love This Place’ Awareness Campaign for 2023.

She also cut her teeth in broadcasting this year, replacing RTÉ veteran Dave Fanning on his old weekend slot on 2FM in February.

Before her foray into the business and broadcasting worlds, Roz was known as one of the country’s most successful models, representing Ireland at the Miss Universe pageant in 2010, where she came fourth. Her stunning looks captured the attention of former US President Donald Trump, who signed her to his model agency in New York.

However, Roz later spoke openly about her previous obsession with body image and her dangerously unhealthy relationship with food. Roz used her experience and published a series of food and fitness tomes. Her debut Natural Born Feeder was followed by The Hike Life, a guide to 50 of the best hikes in Ireland. She returned to food, with Half Hour Hero and No Fuss Vegan.
