Footballer TOMMY SCORES AGAIN

-

CORONATION STREET

David Beckham. Cristiano Ronaldo. Lionel

Messi. They’re the only footballers I can name off the top of my head. And Tommy Orpington. The superstar and exstriker for Weatherfield County has been the subject of many a man crush on the Street since 2016 when he made his first appearance, and he has been the subject of many a conversation since — so much so that you often wondered whether there were actually any other players on the team.

With his sporting career behind him, Tommy has turned his hand to painting and decorating — and Tracy. With Steve off to France to visit Emma, and No 1 in need of a makeover, what could possibly go wrong when Tracy and Tommy find themselves alone?

Toyah has her eye on him as well, and waxes lyrical about how sexy he looks in his overalls (you really need to get out more, Our Toyah). Like the Dulux dog with a bone, Tracy’s having none of it and warns Toyah off, telling her that Tommy is a dreadful womaniser and not to be trusted. When Tommy admits to Tracy that he fancies her, she returns the favour with a lustful kiss. With steamy passion already in the air, I suspect Tommy’s not going to be needing that wallpaper stripper.

The relationship between Michael and Ed goes from bad to worse, with the former accusing his dad of starting the fire to claim on the insurance (you’ve been watching too much EastEnders, Michael!). Ed is devastated, but will the pair make up when Craig arrives to tell them the fire was started by an electric heater? Dear Lord, Craig, aren’t there minions for this kind of thing? Is there nothing they don’t get you to do at that station? You need a pay rise.

In bad news for papers and magazines everywhere, Bethany is hard at work in the cafe, writing another article. But why is she so shifty when Daniel asks what it’s about? She’s also trying to get work from the Gazette. Don’t hold the front page!
