O’NEILL’S CROTTA U-14 COUNTY LEAGUE: Crotta†s U14†s began the defence of their County League D1 title on Saturday 21st March travelling to play Ballyduff. Considering the condition of the pitch was questionable the two teams served up an exciting game with the home side finally crossing the finishing line with a two point win. Crotta who were leading by a goal at half time (2-05 to 1-05) and eventually ran out winners on a score line of Crotta 7.8 to Ballyheigue†s 1.10 with a superb second half display. This weekend, Saturday 25th the squad travel to Kilgarvan to compete in the A division of this year†s Feile. Their group consists of three teams with the first game against local rivals and 2014 Feile champions Abbeydorney, throw in is at noon with their final game against hosts Kenmare/Kilgarvan at 1pm. The top two teams qualify for the semi-finals to be played on Saturday the 2nd May, Final Bank holiday Monday 4th May. Best of luck to both players and mentors.
