A Padre Pio Evening Mass will take place on Thursday 23rd April at 7pm. incorporating the Rosary, Mass and Benediction. Devotions in Lixnaw on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Kerry Choral Union are presenting a concert in aid of Kerry Hospice called ‘Voices for Hospice’ in Our Lady and St. Brendan’s Church on Sunday April 26th at 7.30pm.

DEATHS

The death occurred of Mary (Mai) Quinn (nee Hanrahan) of Leitrim Middle, Moyvane, died on 12th April 2015 in her 99th year in Listowel Hospital. Wife of the late Dan and mother of the late Nora. Survived by sons Mattie and John Joe, daughters Eileen and Bridget, son-in-law and daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Requiem mass for Mai Quinn was celebrated in Moyvane Church the 15th of April, followed by burial in Murhur Cemetery.

DEATH of Nell Heffernan (nee Wallace) of Ballydonoghue, Tarbert, formerly of Tullaleague, Glin. Survived by her husband John, son Maurice, daughters Noreen and Mary, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces. Requiem Mass for Nell Heffernan was celebrated on Monday April 20th St Mary’s Church, Tarbert. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s New Cemetery.

DEATH took place on 19th April 2015 of Kit CULHANE (nee Barrett) Ballinruane, Kilmeedy. Born at Moher,Moyvane. Survived by son Joe, daughter Mary, son-in-law Tom, grandchildren Sharon & Finbar and Sharon’s husband Rory. Requiem Mass on Tuesday April 21st.at St.Ita’s Church, Kilmeedy, followed by burial in Reilig Naofa Cemetery Feenagh.

DEATH: Sister Elena Goulding, OSF, 81, died in Assisi House in Aston, Pennsylvania, on April 7. Sr. Elena Goulding had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 63 years. Sister Elena (Bridget Philomena Goulding) was born in Knockanure, County Kerry, Ireland. She earned a B.A. in English from Neumann University in Aston, Pennsylvania, and an M.A. in Education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Donations in her name can be made to the Sisters of St. Francis Foundation, 609 S. Convent Road, Aston, PA 19014.
