Active Kingdom
ACTIVE Kingdom Summer Camps is back and has 12 locations around Kerry and Limerick this year. The summer camps were a massive success last year boasting an unrivalled set of activities featuring a number of sporting activities, team building challenges, obstacle courses and other games.
As a new addition this year there are now two special inflatable camps which will take place in John Mitchels in Tralee and Newcastle West GAA. These camps will contain all of the same sports and activities but also feature a number of Inflatable Activities including Body Zorbing, Bungee Run, Super Slide, Human Table Football, Gladiator Jousting and more.
Active Kingdom place an emphasis on a positive and enjoyable exposure to sport and physically which will promote the holistic development of children through physical, social and cognitive domains of learning. To achieve this a carefully planned series of activities is provided by highly qualified and motivated members of staff. All members of the Active Kingdom team are graduates of Physical Education/ Health and Leisure areas of study and Active Kingdom is run by JT Deenihan, a lecturer in Health and Leisure in IT Tralee who holds a PhD, P.Dip and B.Sc (Hons) in Physical Education.
