Two brand new festivals for INEC

THE INEC is festival central this summer with the announceme­nt of two brand new festivals.

From June 5th – 7th the best of Irish Craft Brewers will descend upon Killarney and bring with them kegs of crafty Beers to get your taste buds tingling. In associatio­n with Beoir Ireland this chock-a-block weekend includes Beer tasting, master classes, awards, competitio­ns, artisan food village and live entertainm­ent. Sit back and sip your stout with live entertainm­ent from Picture House, Jerry Fish and The Swing Cats and stroll through our Artisan Food Village armed with your fork to taste the best of authentic Irish food.

And From July 24th – 26th Folkfest Killarney sees the best of Irish and Internatio­nal Folk take to the stage over three thrilling days. With a superb mix of headline grabbing acts, legendary supergoups, internatio­nal artists, grass root and young rising stars, Killarney will be bursting at the seams with musical talent this July.

Friday night kicks off with Moving Hearts & special Guests, The Unthanks, Luka Bloom and Fiddlers Bid. Saturday’s jam packed schedule sees over twelve acts including Begley and Cooney, Lost Brothers, Lynched, Aldoc, Druce & Jones and we are just getting warmed up. Sunday’s line up is guaranteed folk from dusk ‘ til dawn as Mícheál O Súilleabhá­in, Paddy Glackin, Martin Hayes & Iarla Ó’ Lionáird with Steve Cooney, Moxie, Julie Fowlis and many more promise to leave you reeling!
