THE BIG TODDLE

The Big Toddle for Barnardos will take place in the Town Park Abbeyfeale on Tuesday June 28 at 11am. The toddle is hosted by Abbeyfeale Parent and Toddler Group. Sponsor cards are available at the group. The toddle is followed by a picnic and an opportunit­y for parents and children to engage in outdoor play. SUMMER CAMP

West Limerick Resources is running a Summer Camp for 6 to 12 year olds on July 11-14 in the Further Education and Training Campus Abbeyfeale (Old Tech). The activities include sport and games, art & craft and a bus trip to Free Range Kids Outdoor Activities in Croom. This camp is free to families in receipt of a social welfare payment. Registrati­on is essential. Applicatio­n forms are available at Reception in The Further Education and Training Centre and must be returned by Tuesday June 28. TRAINING FOR YOUTH CLUB

SURF TO HEAL FUNDRAISER

A table quiz will take place at TJ O’Riordan’s Bar, Main St on Friday June 24 as a fundraiser for a special camp which runs every summer for children with autism. It starts at 9pm and tables of four are €20.

REMEMBERIN­G ZOE

A Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday, July 3 at Fr. Casey’s Clubhouse, Abbeyfeale. Underage Blitz’s, Dog Show, Bouncing Castles, Kiddie’s Disco, Face painting, Obstacle courses, Arts and Crafts and Novelty events are just some of the activities laid on for all the family. Gates open 2pm.

TIDY TOWNS COMPETITIO­N

The Tidy Towns Committee would like to inform everyone that the judging panel for the Tidy Towns Competitio­n are expected to visit Abbeyfeale within the next few weeks and we ask that everyone do whatever they can to help brighten up the town.

FÉI LE COMES TO ABBEY FE ALE

Féile Peil na nOg is a GAA annual national competitio­n for 14 year old boys and girls who compete within their respective Counties for a chance to take part in their respective Divisions within the National Finals. This year’s finals are being held throughout South West Munster between 24th – 26th June.

Fr Casey’s Bord na nOg and Ladies Football are not only hosting a Boys Team from South London and a Girls Team - Con Magees - from Co Antrim for the duration of the 3 day event but are also honoured at been given the opportunit­y to have at least 6 games held in Abbeyfeale over the Friday and Saturday which will also see teams from Newcastle West and Butlersbri­dge in Co Cavan taking part. This is a huge boost for the Club and the town as a whole with a large number of participan­ts and supporters in attendance. FEALE FIT NEWS
