Men’s health in focus at Centre
IT is far from a myth that we men can sometimes be a bit slow in facing up to certain obstacles we may encounter in our lives.
Well, the Listowel Family Resource Centre is hoping to help be a little less slow into the future by hosting a one-day work shop this Friday, September 30, on the subject of men’s wellbeing.
Running between 10am and 4.30, the initiative entitled “Taking control: Meeting life’s hurdles head on”, is designed to help those present establish a new direction in life in the aftermath of any unexpected occurrences that may have befell them.
Similarly, if you are in search of new coping mechanisms to face up to the challenges of the everyday or want to set goals for the future, then this event is the perfect fit for you.
According to Toni Clarke, Family Support Worker at the Listowel Family Centre, the workshop affords men the opportunity “to build resilience in the face of life challenges and setbacks”.
Likewise Toni Says the workshop will help “to enhance coping skills, especially pre-existing ones and to build and support self-esteem and confidence”.
As places are limited, booking in advance is advisable. Should you wish to do so or require any further information, Organiser Toni Clarke, can be contacted on (068) 23584.
