Castlemain­e hit for six by Ballyhar

BALLYHAR’S rich vein of form continued with an easy win over Castlemain­e. The winners were home and dry at half time going in 4-0 ahead with goals from Niall McCarthy (2), Dillon Carey and Liam Brosnan. Shane O’Donoghue added a brace of goals in the second half to complete the rout.

This win puts Ballyhar third in the table and in with a good shout in the title race if they can keep this great run of good results going. TRALEE Celtic join Mitchels Avenue at the top of the table after a comfortabl­e win over Asdee Rovers. The star of the show for the winners was Aidan O’Sullivan who scored all three goals. THIS was a great win for CG Killarney against a side that has aspiration­s of reaching the league final. Joe O’Donovan and Billy Goulding scored for the winners with assists from Dave McCarthy and Sam Treharne. CG’s best players were Mike Griffin and Sam Dobbins. Michael O’Dowd scored for Castlegreg­ory. THIS was a tough test for table toppers Mitchels Avenue and they had to settle for a share of the spoils in a tight game. Mike Joe Kelliher scored for QPR and Chris O’Sullivan got the goal for Mitchels Avenue. THE floodgates opened at Ballyheigu­e’s picturesqu­e pitch in the sand hills on Sunday and a flurry of goals which made for great spectator viewing. The home side went on a real goalscorin­g spree in a game that produced 10 goals.

Frankie Flaherty (3), Pa McElligott, Padraig Behan, Kevin Walsh and Paudie Carroll scored for Ballyheigu­e while Cian Hussey, Trevor Wallace and Martin Ferris scored for Ardfert.

DENNY DIVISION 1B

THIS game was scoreless after an hour but table toppers Strand Road turned on the style from here on in with four unanswered goals to extend their lead at the top of the table to 12 points. However, the chasing posse have a number of games in hand over the league leaders.

The Strand Road scorers were Dillon Hennebery, Dan Kinsella, Anthony O’Connor and Milos Arvic. INTER Kemare surprised title contenders AC Athletic with a good win. Ronan Hussey (2) and Dan Cahallane scored for Inter while Barry Walsh and Mike McCarthy scored for AC Athletic.

ABHAINN Li performed a giant killing exercise with a great win over table toppers Ballybunio­n FC a win while keeps them in touch with the title contenders. JASON Quirke scored for Tralee Bay in this Tralee derby draw. NEW comers CSCB were in sparkling form recording a big win over Ballyheigu­e B. The CSCB scorers were Niall Murphy (2), Craig Spillane and Timothy Moriarty
