Friday last was World Day of Prayer for the Sick and a special mass for the occasion was celebrated in the parish at noon on the day with the blessing of the sick being given by Fr Mullane. There was a large congregation for the ceremony.
The daily mass schedule for this week is, Monday 10am, Tuesday to Friday 11am with Fr Hurley, Friday at 12 noon, Saturday 6pm, Sunday 10.30am. The month’s Mind Mass for the late Kathleen Harnett, Devon Road and the anniversary mass for Willie Curtin, Devon Road took place on Saturday evening.
The anniversary mass for Patrick and Teresa Somers took place place on Sunday. The anniversary mass for John Kelly will be celebrated on Saturday evening next and on Sunday the Month’s Mind Mass for Wendy Murphy, Devon Road and the anniversary mass for Mick, Nell, Moss and Mary O’Connor, Templeglantine West will take place. Beannacht Dé ar anamacha na marbh.
Eucharistic Ministers for the weekend masses will be Mary Buston, Maureen Woulfe and-Eileen White, readers will be Mary Fitzgerald and Siobhán Sheehy, basket collectors for February are Steve Murphy, Patsy Mulcahy, Bernie McAuliffe, Katie White.

SET DANCING WEEKEND
The Devon Inn Hotel will be the venue for the annual set dancing weekend of Céilithe and workshops organised by the West Limerick Set Dancing Club on February 17 19.
The Star of Munster will play for the Friday night Céilí, The Stríolán on Saturday night and The Five Counties on Sunday afternoon. The workshops will be given by Maureen Culleton.
FUNDRAISER
A fundraising bingo will take place at Mountcollins Community Centre on Sunday, February 19 with a 3pm start. There will be a €2,000 prize fund and also a monster raffle.
