ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

A church gate collection will be held before all Masses on Saturday and Sunday February 25 /26 to help defray the costs of the parade. The parade on St Patrick’s Day will start at Mountmahon at 4pm and will be led by the Rathkeale Brass Band. It will proceed down Main Street and past the reviewing stand in The Square. Prizes will be awarded for Best Float, Best Youth Entry and Best Dressed Window. Further details next week.

Abbeyfeale Enterprise Expo has drawn huge attention from all kinds of businesses / Clubs / Organisati­ons with over 100 stands booked for the Friday night (6-9pm) and at least 90 on the Saturday afternoon (11-1.30pm).

So write the Bank of Ireland Enterprise Town Expo into the diary for Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 and don’t miss out on a wonderful community event.

MOCK WEDDING

Taking place this year from April 27 -- May 1, the lead act will be the world renowned fiddler Frankie Gavin and De Danann.

The ever popular Noel Cronin who will provide the music at the first afternoon tea dance in Fr. Casey’s Clubhouse for 2017 which takes place on Sunday, March 12. Proceeds to Abbeyfeale Community Council.

QUIZ NIGHT

A Major Quiz night will be held at Tomás TJ=92s Bar on Fri 24th Feb @ 9pm. This is the first in a series of events taking place throughout Abbeyfeale during Feb and March to support the month long Abbeyfeale Community Fundraisin­g initiative.
