Draw is enough to send Fenit top of Premier A

FENIT Samphires move a point clear of Killarney Athletic at the top of the table after a 3-3 draw with Inter Kenmare.

Fenit will be disappoint­ed at dropping 2 points but it was a great point for Inter in their fight to stay clear of relegation with Stephen O Shea making the headlines with a great hat trick while Ryan Dolan, Daniel Clinton and Chris Murphy scored for Fenit.

Dingle Bay Rovers made up valuable ground on both Fenit and Killarney Athletic after a crucial 3-2 win over table joint toppers Killarney Athletic.

Sean Fitzgerald (2) and Joe Sheehy scored for the West Kerry side with Paudie Clifford and Michael O’Donoghue scored for Athletic.

On Friday evening Tralee Dynamos and Killarney Celtic met at Cahermonee­n with Celtic winning 5-2 in impressive style which is a big morale booster ahead of their huge game next Saturday.

Wayne Sparling (2), Pa McGrath and Chris O Leary scored and their other goal was an own goal.

John Farragher and Scott Monaghan scored for Dynamos.

This win brings Celtic up to fourth in the table with games in hand and they will be in the in the dog fight to make it to the final

This defeat for Dynamos as good as ends their prospects of making it to the final.

PREMIER B

In the only game played in this Division Killlorgli­n moved up to second place just 2 points behind table toppers Mastergeah­a after a 3-2 win over CSKA Tralee at Mounthawk Park on Saturday night.

Lee Carey, Ryan Riordan and David Breen scored for the winners while Kieran O’Donovan and Dara Carroll scored for CSKA.

DIVISION 1A

Mitchels Avenue moved fivepoints ahead of Tralee Celtic at the top of the table after a comfortabl­e 5-0 win over Ballyhar Dynamos. The first half was evenly balanced with Ballyhar creating a few scoring chances and hit the woodwork and it was 1-0 at half time. However Mitchels Avenue turned on the style in the second half and a hat trick from Emeka Sheezyneri­o and a brace from Brendan Coffey gave them an easy win at the end.

Best for Ballyhar were Brian O’Sullivan, Kevin O’Sullivan, Anthony Mc Kenna, Ed Kerrisk, Padraig O’Mahony and Padraig O’Connor.

In the other game played in this division Castlemain­e collected the three points with a 1-0 win over QPR.

Seamus O Dowd got the match winning goal.

DIVISION 1B

Sporting Listowel move within 3 points of table toppers Strand Road after a good 2-1 win over Classic B.

Bryan Murphy amd Thomas Mc Carthy scored for the winners and Padraig Breen scored for Classic.

DIVISION 2

CS Abbeydorne­y are the new league leaders in this division with their 3-1 win over Clanmauric­e putting them a point ahead of Ballybunio­n.

Stevie O Sullivan (2) and Hughie O Brien scored for the winners and Cathal Kearney got the Clanmauric­e goal.
