AFTER all the drama in Direen last Sunday where extra-time couldn’t separate either, both head back West to try and settle the matter decisively on Sunday.
The semi-final draw will only heighten the ambitions of both with a game against Kenmare Shamrocks the prize for the victors in the replay. Kerry league final.
Neither have started the County League pretty impressively, only one win from three in their respective divisions, but the intensity should step up a notch here with the inter-county contingents back for both sides.
Results in the other games make avoiding going into the relegation play-offs maybe just as important as advancing to the semi-finals.
There won’t be much asked for or given here but Kilcummin need a huge performance if they are to emerge victorious.
The victor would have much time to savour success, of course, with a trip to Fitzgerald Stadium face Dr Crokes in the semi-finals on Sunday.

When a home side fails to get it done the first day there always is that wonder about whether or not they have left the opportunity after them, but Legion will see their efforts on Sunday as a good continuation of a County League start that sees them with a 100% record in Division 2.
From Dingle’s point of view they will be happy to be heading home for this rematch despite conceding the equaliser at the end of the eighty minutes. With their full contingent together again in the space of a week it might just give them the spur to emerge victorious on this occasion and reach the semi-finals for the fourth consecutive year.
