CUP specialist­s Mitchels Avenue caused another major upset at Mounthawk Park on Sunday when they sent Premier A side Fenit Samphires crashing out of the cup.

Brendan Coffey and Danny O’Shea scored for the winners who now progress to the quarter final where they will meet the winners of Inter Kenmare v CSKA Tralee and are a good outside bet to go all the way in the competitio­n this year.

DOMINOS PIZZA RESERVE CUP 1ST ROUND

CLASSIC FC’s form has turned a corner after a poor start to the season and they have been churning out good results in recent games.

On Friday evening they advanced to the second round of the Dominos Pizza Reserve Cup with a hard earned win over Ballyhar Dynamos at Murt Scott Park.

The home side went ahead with a great individual goal by Padraig O’Connor after 35 minutes and went in 1-0 ahead at the break.

Classic pulled one back in the 50th minute with a Brendan Sweeney goal and made sure of victory with two late goals from Billy Clifford and Darcy O’Sullivan.

Best for Ballyhar were Brian O’Sullivan, Dan O’Shea, Padraig O’Connor, Shane O’Donoghue, Kenneth O’Sullivan and Mike Daly.

JIMMY FALVEY MEMORIAL YOUTH CUP SEMI FINAL REPLAY

THE Park booked their place in the Jimmy Falvey Memorial Cup Final with a late goal by Conor O’Brien winning the game for the Tralee side.

This will now meet Fenit Samphires in the final at Mounthawk Park on this Saturday May 6 with a 7pm kick off.

This should be a very tight game between two of the best youth sides in the county.

TRALEE Dynamos took the three points with goals from David Couchman, Leo Gaxha and Tony Duggan.
