Caherleaheen NS ready for big fashion night
CAHERLEAHEEN National School are taking to the catwalk for the first time ever next week in a big fundraising Fashion Show for the Tralee primary.
The event will take place in Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Thursday May 18 and it promises to be a fantastic night of entertainment, fashion and fun for all the family. They’ve been working hard behind the scenes for some time in preparation for the big event.Excitement is now building in the school, particularly among the students themselves, who will be modelling on the night.
An impressive 17 local shops will be showcased on the night, with a wide range of fashion which is sure to appeal to all audiences. There will be a selection of children’s wear, menswear and ladieswear on show on the night, ranging from sportswear to formal and occasion wear.
Although the main purpose of the event is to raise funds for the school, the entire school community is looking forward to a night of celebration.
Parents, teachers and children will get a chance to come together and acknowledge the wonderful and unique sense of community which the school is very proud of. To that effect, it will be the students, staff and parents themselves who will be modelling the clothes on the night.
Brian Hurley, who is a parent of the school, will be acting as MC on the night. There will be some outstanding prizes up for grabs at the event, including a two night break at The Woodlands Hotel in Adare.
The children of Caherleaheen are also creating some of their own fashion to showcase, particularly the fifth class. They have been working with local milliner, Rebekah Wall, who is kindly giving her time to teach the children basic millinery skills and the results of their hard work will grace the catwalk during the show.
Tickets are available from the school, by phoning 0667121919, or via e-mail at caherleaheenfashionshow@gmail.com.
