Cup final line-ups becoming clear

JOHN MURPHY U-12 CUP

KILLORGLIN are the first team into the John Murphy U-12 Cup final where they will face either Inter Kenmare or Park A. Goals from Tim Mangan, Jack Lynch, Paul Costello and Fionan Griffin gave Killorglin a 4-0 win over Listowel Celtic A in their midweek semi-final.

JOHN MURPHY U-12 SHIELD

THE John Murphy U-12 Shield Final, set for May 13, will be between LB Rovers and Killarney Athletic as both got through their last 4 clashes this week. LB Rovers, who are only in the League a few years will be delighted to be in the final and got there on a 2-1 score-line thanks to two goals from Leigh Meehan with Jack Mallon replying for Killorglin B

Killarney Athletic had a hat-trick from Alex Hennigan and goals from Josh Coffey and Paddy Foley who came off the bench to score. James Fisher replied for Park C.

JOHN JOE NAUGHTON U-13 SHIELD

IVERAGH United are into the semi-finals of the John Joe Naughton U-13 Shield following a 2-1 win over Mastergeeh­a. Ronan Teahan and Cian Murphy got the goals for the South Kerry boys who will play the winners of Killarney Celtic B and Park C in the last 4.

TUCKER KELLY U-16 CUP

KILLARNEY Celtic’s Jared Barton scored the only game of the Tucker Kelly 16’s Cup semi-final as they defeated Killorglin 1-0.

They will play St Bernard’s or Park A in the final on Saturday May 20.

TUCKER KELLY U-16 SHIELD

TWO goals from Cian McGrath were enough to give Listowel Celtic a 2-1 win over Camp Junior and become the first team into the Tucker Kelly U-16 Shield semi-final.

The second game was even tighter as it was tied 1-1 after full and extra time. Nathan O’Driscoll scored for Ballyheigu­e who also had keeper Thomas O’Connor to thank for keeping them in the game.

Patrick O’Connor got the goal for Ballyhar who then were faultless from the penalty spot with O’Connor scoring again as did Liam Moloney, Danny Cronin, Harry Doody and Jason Brennan, The final is set for Saturday, May 27.
