The Kerryman (North Kerry)

Seventh heaven for Dingle as they crush Rattoo

-

DENNY PREMIER A

DINGLE Bay Rovers move up to joint third on the table after a facile win over Rattoo Rovers. Sean Fitzgerald netted four, Adam O’Rourke scored twice while Luke Burgess completed the scoring for the West Kerry side. LISTOWEL Celtic faced a potential banana skin when they travelled to play Castleisland on Sunday but came home happy campers with a hard earned win over the home side.

Ashley Kelliher and Jo Jo Grimes scored for the Fealesiders who are now joint second in the table with Killarney Celtic on 30 points just three points behind table toppers Killarney Athletic with a game in hand. Kieran O’Donoghue scored for Castleisland. THERE was another Premier A walkover on Saturday evening with Inter Kenmare conceding the game to Killarney Celtic. THIS division is coming to an exciting end with just four points separating five teams at the top of the table. Killarney Athletic lead the way with 33 points from 15 games.

Killarney Celic and Listowel Celtic are locked together in second place with 30 points from 14 games.

Dingle Bay Rovers and Fenit Samphires are joint third with 29 points from 14 games. There are some big games coming up in the coming weeks when these title contenders meet each other and that will decide who will make it to the final.

On present statistics it will be no surprise if it takes a play off to decide who will make it to the final in this division.

DENNY PREMIER B

AC Athletic moved a point clear at the top of the table with a crucial win over Camp United. The goal that won the game was scored by prolific goalscorer John Mike Dooley. IN a tight game Mastergeeha took the three points with goals from Thomas Templeman and Karlo and move up to second place in the table just a point behind AC Athletic. Jonathan Doran got the CSKA goal. CLASSIC FC took another significant step towards survival in this division after a big win over Skeliga.

Max Mugabe (2), Darcy O’Sullivan (2) and Brendan Sweeney scored for the winners. THIS division is coming to a tantalising end with AC Athletic, Mastergeeha and Castleisland B neck and neck coming up to the winning post. Castleisland appear to be a banker for the final as they have two games in hand over AC Athletic and Mastergeeha.

At present AC are a point ahead of Mastergeeha on the same number of games so all will hinge on their final game as if AC win they will qualify for the decider, while a win for Mastergeeha would also earn a place in the final.

Camp United have an outside chance as they have four games in hand on 22 points and if they win them all and Castleisand lose their final three games they would edge them out but that looks very unlikely. Unfortunately Killorglin are fourth but have run out of games.
