Three crunch games should decide Premier A finalists

-

THE three big games left in Premier A are down for decision this week, beginning on Thursday at 7.30pm when Killarney Celtic play Fenit at Celtic Park. Also at 7.30pm Dingle play Listowel Celtic in west Kerry. On Sunday at 2pm Killarney Athletic play Rattoo Rovers.

After these games the finalists in Premier A might be known but there is also the possibility that a play-off may be necessary to determine who will reach the decider.

There is a real nail-biting conclusion to Premier A with only a point separating the four title contenders Killarney Celtic, Killarney Athletic, Dingle Bay Rovers and Fenit Samphires.

The two Killarney sides have it in their own hands as if both win their final game they will meet in the decider.

However Dingle Bay Rovers and Fenit Samphires are still in the frame if results go their way in the final series of games.

At present Killarney Celtic and Athletic are level at the top of the table with 36 points from 17 games.

Dingle Bay Rovers and Fenit Samphires are joint second on 38 points also from 17 games.

In the final three games in the title race Killarney Celtic are at home to Fenit Samphires, Killarney Athletic host Rattoo Rovers while Dingle are at home to Listowel Celtic.

Killarney Celtic and Athletic have their destiny in their own hands as if they win their games they will qualify to meet each other in the final.

Meanwhile, Dingle will be hoping to win their game against Listowel Celtic and if Athletic or Celtic slip up in their final games they could make it to the decider.

Likewise if Fenit beat Killarney Celtic they will be in with a shout depending on the other result.

Killarney Athletic will go into the game against Rattoo Rovers as red hot favourites but the game between Killarney Celtic and Fenit will be hard to call with both sides needing a win.

Dingle Bay Rovers are at home to Listowel Celtic in their last game and with nothing at stake for the Fealesiders Dingle should be able to win this one.

Everything is pointing towards a Killarney Athletic, Killarney Celtic Final but the show won’t be over until the fat lady sings after the final three games.
