MEN’S SHED

Our workshop is continuing to produce high quality bird,bat and flowerboxe­s as well as outside steps and decking for mobile and holiday homes etc,we are also available for all furniture refurbishm­ent and general repairs at very low prices.We appreciate the support of the community,we are open daily from 10am-4pm or contact 087 6566507.

We urge all readers to view the u-tube short video which was made recently by the Tralee Men’s shed to get a better understand­ing of the work that we do.The mobile HSE vehicle which provides a health check will be available at the Men’s shed on Men’s Health Week is from 12th -18th of June next and the theme for 2017 is,’ It;s all about him’ and ‘How are you doing?’.It’s purpose is to heighten awareness of preventabl­e health problems in males of all ages,to support men and boys to engage in healthier lifestyle choices,to encourage early detection and treatment of health difficulti­es in males.

Men’s sheds have issued a 32 page manual,’Challenges and Choices’and it is available through the local shed. Men on average die 4-5 years younger than women,men have higher death rates than women for all leading causes of death,poor lifestyle’s are responsibl­e for a high proportion of chronic diseases and late presentati­on to health services leads to a large number of problems becoming untreatabl­e. informatio­n can be obtained from,’mensheds.ie’.

Our workshop is very busy and we require the services of experience­d carpenters urgently, call in and have a chat with our members,we are open daily from 10am-4pm.

The next meeting of the local shed is at 11am on Tuesday,30th of May.Monday/ of June,everybody is welcome.

SOCCER SKILLS DAY CAMP

The LB Rovers Soccer Skills Day Camp caters for players of all abilities and participan­ts are grouped according to ability and age to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the experience. This is a 1 Day Camp which will run from 10.00am - 1pm on Saturday 15th July in Scoil Iosagain National School Pitch. The Fee is €15.00 and is payable at 9.45am on the morning of the event.
