MID SUMMER’S BALL

The Rose Hotel rolled out the red carpet for over 140 people on Friday night. Aileen and Andrea organised a fantastic event and it was all in aid of Kerry Hospice. Miriarm O Callaghan and Katie Hannon were special guests on the night along with Mayor of Tralee Terry O Brien. There was a guest performance on the night with River Dance star Tomas O Se kicking off proceedings.

On the night there were speeches from Andrea O’Donoghue, Ted Moynihan, Terry O Brien, Miriarm O Callaghan and Katie Hannon.

We had celebrity clips from many stars wishing Kerry Hospice and the future new building the best of the luck. On the night people saw the progress the new building is making with some old and new pictures on show. All were treated to a fantastic meal on the night with great prizes on offer for the raffle which was done by Katie Hannon.

The entertainment side of the night was provided by the band Hum Dingers and followed by DJ Donal who all insured the dance floor was full from beginning to end. A great night was had by all who attended this very well organised event.

A huge thank you to all who sponsored spot prizes and prizes for our other draw which will be held Friday. A mention to Rose Hotel who looked after us all so well on the night, and lastly to all who attended and supported the Ball in any way we say thank you.

SUNFLOWER DAY

Our annual Sunflower Days took place on Friday and Saturday around the county. They were hugely successful again this year and as always very well supported. A huge thank you to all our volunteers who give so freely of their time to stand with sunflowers and as always a huge thank you to all of you who supported us over the two days.

Remember, all that is raised in Kerry stays in Kerry.
