KILSARCON CEMETERY

A large crowd as usual turned out for the annual month of May open-air mass at Kilsarcon Cemetery recently with weather conditions ideal for the occasion. The mass was concelebrated by Fr. John Buckley and Fr. John Kerin.

GAA LOTTO DRAW

Scartaglin GAA Club’s next Lotto Draw will be on Sunday June 18th when the Jackpot will be €8,800 and the venue is Lyon’s Bar.

GRAVEYARD MASS

The annual open air mass in Scartaglen Cemetery will be celebrated on Saturday morning August 12th at 10am.

FATIMA CENTENARY

Fr. Dan O Riordan PP Castleisland will talk on the centenary of Our Lady of Fatima on Saturday next June 17th in Ardfert Retreat Centre. A Day with Mary is the title of the days celebrations which will be from 10.30am to 4.30pm. For bookings and information call 066 7134276.

COUNTY LEAGUE

There was no joy for Scartaglen when they made the long journey to Derrynane on Saturday evening last to play Sneem/ Derrynane in Round 5 of the Credit Union County League Division 4. The home side led 1-8 to 0-3 at half time with their goal coming in injury time. Scart enjoyed their best spell in the third quarter scoring 4 points to 3 for the home side.
