TEMPLEGLANTINE
TIDY TOWNS:
The first inspection in this season’s Tidy Town Competition will be during the month of June so we will have to keep up the good work to maintain our high standards. The forecourt of the service station and shop is greatly enhanced by the variety of new planters with colourful blooms.
The two tubs near theFailte stone are an attractive addition together with the newly planted troughs nearby. The area around the Forge Cross has a well-kept look about it and just needs a few brightly coloured plants to complete a nice picture.
COMHALTAS:
The results of this year’s SCT traditional music exams were obtained recently and the 50 young craobh members who undertook the exams were very pleased with their results.
The presentation of the SCT exam certificates will take place at a later date. The weekly Seisiún Summer show of traditional entertainment, organised by the local Comhaltas as part of the national scheme, will commence at the Devon Inn on Thursday, June 29. Many music lovers in the locality are looking forward to the Con Curtin Music Festival in Brosna, June 23-25.
COMHBHRÓN:
