BALLYMACELIGOTT
birthday celebration open day must be deferred to September. The work to complete the school yard and surrounding area has begun and will continue during the summer months. In September we hope to have our "Buy A Brick" wall engraving in place so that all who contributed to the project will be able to see this and the completed project. We would like to thank again all those who helped us with this project, the generosity of the people of Ballylongford locally and further afield was hugely appreciated.

DREAM ROLE FOR PATRICK
Sincere congratulations and every success is extended to local Irish Dancing hero Patrick O’ Mahony of Rusheen, Ballylongford son of Kathleen and the late Tommy Joe R.I.P. who has been selected as one of the leading star dancers on the hit show =93Riverdance=94. It is indeed a dream come through for the local man who began his dancing training as a young child under the watchful eye of Jimmy Smith and Honor O’Connor when he enrolled in Rinceoirí na Ríochta winning his first Munster title at just seven years of age and his first All-Ireland in 1995. It was quiet ironic that his first memory of seeing ‘Riverdance’ was in the company of his grandmother the late Phil Prendergast R.I.P. during the Eurovision in 1994 when he was just eight years old and now 23yrs on, he dances in the lead role. So well done Patrick and
