semifinal, Ajay led it out on the first leg handing over to Steve on the back straight, Joseph on the bend and Odhran to finish. The boys finished third in the Semi and booked themselves a place in the final. We didn=92t have too long to wait and after a few adjustment­s and a little more baton practise the boys were out for their final. The final was tense but our boys didn=92t disappoint, they all stepped up their game and ran a superb race hitting all their marks with some great baton changes and ran themselves into the silver medal position. Well done Boys.

County Community Games Athletics: Well done to all the Lios Tuathail AC athletes who competed over the two days with their respective areas at the County community games athletics last weekend at the newly refurbishe­d An Riocht track. There is a large number of athletes through to National Finals and we wish everyone the best of luck representi­ng their areas.

Munster Outdoors U14-U19: Last weekend over both Sat and Sunday saw the Munster Outdoor action for the U14-U19 group in blistering heat at CIT, Cork. Lios Tuathail AC had a large group of athletes taking part over both days and their participat­ion didn’t disappoint. First up were the u14 girls in the 80m sprint, fastest here was Sinead Lynch followed by Eabha Moloney, Katie Dunsworth and Megan Lynch. Sinead Lynch made it through to the final and finished in the top 8, well done Sinead. Megan Lynch ran in the U14 75m hurdles finishing just outside the top ten. Sinead, Eabha, Katie and Megan ran in the 4 x 100m relay and finished fourth this was a good result considerin­g the top three teams broke the standing Munster record in the event. The girls took part in the long jump with Eabha finishing in the top ten followed by Sinead and Megan. In the u18 girls Sinead Hunt powered through the preliminar­ies going into the final with a top 8 finish. Sinead Hunt ran in

County Athletics: The County Athletics finals Day 1 will take place on Wed 5th and Day 2 on Sat 15th at An Riocht track, Castleisla­nd.

SUMMER CAMP

Summer Camp is on from from Monday July-Friday August 18 from 9.15-1.15pm daily. The camp will include a wide range of activities including; cooking, games, outings, arts/crafts, computing and more besides.

FAMILY FUN DAY

The annual family fun day will be held at Listowel Family Resource Centre on July 29 from 2-4pm. Further details to follow.
