Draw for NK SFC fast approachin­g

THE 2017 Garvey’s Supervalu Kerry senior hurling championsh­ip continues this weekend with Round 2 fixtures at Austin Stack Park. First up is the Round 2B clash of Crotta and Causeway on Friday evening, July 28, with the losers exiting the championsh­ip.

Then on Saturday evening in Round 2A, St. Brendans play Kilmoyley. Both games have 7pm throw-in times, with extra-time if necessary. So Lixnaw and the winners of the Kilmoyley v St Brendans Round 2A game will be through to semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Ballyduff and losers of Kilmoyley v St Brendans will be drawn against Abbeydorne­y and the winners from the Crotta O’Neills and Causeway game in Round 3. Round 3 will be played on Sunday August 6.

County IHC

IN the preliminar­y round of the County Intermedia­te hurling championsh­ip, St. Brendan’s had a 6-21 to 1-7 win over Abbeydorne­y and Kenmare defeated Crotta by 2-13 to 0-12.

The quarter-final pairings Kilmoyley v Austin Stacks; St Brendans v Causeway and Dr Crokes v Lixnaw were due to be played on Tuesday, July 25 with Kenmare v Kilgarvan going back to Tuesday, August 1.

THE Junior Hurling Championsh­ip commences on Wednesday August 2nd and continues each Wednesday thereafter.

IN the semi-final of the Credit Union Senior hurling league Division 1 on Sunday last, Kilmoyley had a 2-14 to 1-13 win over Causeway.

The second semi-final goes ahead on this Friday evening when Lixnaw are at home to Ballyduff at 7pm (extra-time if necessary). This game will also double up as a North Kerry Senior Championsh­ip semi-final.

Hurling Cúl Camps 2017

THE 2017 Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps continue on Monday next, 31st July at both Ardfert and Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney.

Cost is €60 per child with reductions for additional members of families. Open to primary school children, boys and girls between 6 and 13 years of age. Monday’s to Friday’s, 10am – 2.30pm daily. Online registrati­on at www.kelloggscu­lcamps.gaa.ie Children may also register on the first morning of each Camp.

The remaining Kerry hurling camps will be at Crotta O’Neill’s - Dromakee (7 - 11 August) and Kilmoyley & Tralee Parnell’s - Caherslee (14 - 18 August).
