ROSE OF TRALEE

Excitement is now beginning to gather momentum as the countdown is well and truly on for the return home to Ballylongford of local girl Aisling Walsh this year’s Sydney Rose in the forthcoming Rose of Tralee Festival. The Posters are already up around the village and in Tarbert the native town of her father and family relatives.

But the big news at the moment is that on Wednesday Evening next August 2nd her parents have organised a big Welcome Home Reception for their daughter in the Parish Hall, in Ballylongford at 7pm where Aisling this year’s Sydney Rose will be proudly in attendance. Everybody is welcome to attend and everybody that knows Aisling or would like to just greet and wish her well are particularly asked to come along and join in the homecoming as preparations begin for the big trip to the Dome.

It is also nice to see the headings and slogans on the posters etc. The new slogan that is sure to grip everybody over the coming weeks is indeed very well thought out and very appropriate. The title =93Ash for the Sash=94 will no doubt echo loud and clear around the village and indeed further afield, as Aisling and her family get ready to embark in a remarkable few weeks of busy schedules and travelling to various venues and towns throughout Ireland. We wish them the very best. More details and updates in the coming weeks.
