UNDER 16s: Con Brosnan Park Moyvane was the venue for this County league Division 7 semi final on Wednesday evening last where Bally/Asdee battled it out with Tarbert/Moyvane for a place in the final. The opening half saw Bally/ Asdee play some fine attacking football and a well taken goal from Liam Mulvihill gave his side a good start with the same player adding 3 further points. However Tarbert/Moyvane responded with 1-6 from play which saw them lead at the break; 1-6 to 1-3.

The second half saw Tarbert/Moyvane lay down an early marker, got stuck in from the throw in and in fairness their opponents couldn’t handle some fine football skills and excellent scores who ran out fully deserving victors at the final whistle. Still well done to the locals who qualified for the final stages of the competition against really tough opposition. Tarbert/Moyvane 3-16 to Bally/Asdee 2-8. Team and scorers; Ciaran Griffin, Cathal Doran, Antone O Connor, Gavin Stack, Victor Flahive, Michael Hannon, Conor Carmody, 2pts, Josh Prendergast, Shay Doran, Pa Carmody, 1gl, Brian Murphy, Brendan Keane, 1-1. Liam Mulvihill, 1-5, Subs; Niall O Connor, Adam Finucane, Gerard Mulvihill, Liam Connolly. Referee, Eamon Moran, Ballydonoghue. UNDER 12. Bally/Asdee took on Beale on Monday evening last in the North Kerry League but were unable to match the Seasiders who were always in control of this one sided encounter and held sway in almost all sectors of the field. The game was really over at the interval as the home side led 5-11 to 1-1 with Pauric Fogarty finding the net Bally/Asdee. Even though Beale only registered a further 4 points to their opponents 3 there was never a danger of any other result. Again Bally/ Asdee competed well and kept going to sound of Mike Hennessys , Ballyduff, final whistle. Beale 5-15 Bally/Asdee 1-4. Team and scorers; Sean O Connor, Ross O Neill, Jack Hannon, Dan O Neill, Nancy Dee, Debbie Collins, Ruby Keane, Grace Heffernan, Liam Walsh, Oisin Healy, 2pts, Patrick Mulvihill, 1pt, Roisin Fogarty, Pauric Fogarty, 1-1, Cathal Byrne, Fionn Byrne, Niamh Daly.
