COMMUNITY GAMES 2017

Brilliant success from the National games in Abbottstown, Dublin. Shauna Casey daughter of Adrian and Mary received 1st place in the U-16 Model Making. Shauna has a fantastic talent and we are thrilled for her. Stephen Harty son of Kieran and Shiela came in 4th place in the U-8 80m. By all accounts Stephen had fantastic races and was unlucky not to be placed higher. This is one young lad who we will be watching out for. Very well done to Shauna and Stephen from the Community Games Committee.

COURSING LOTTO

The Following numbers were drawn on Monday 14th August in the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club: 2-16-17-29. The Jackpot was not won. The €50 winner was Mike and Geraldine, C/o Christina. The €25 winners were Gene McElligott, C/o Pat, Mike Casey C/o Diarmuid and Johnny O’Carroll C/o John B. Next week’s Jackpot is €7,250.

PATTERN DAY

As Pattern Day is fast approaching there will be a meeting of our Lady’s Well & Grotto Committee on Tuesday 29th August at 8.15 pm in the Grotto car park to ensure that all goes well on September 8th.

We urgently appeal for more stewards to help out. Please hand in your name to the Presbytery or any of the Grotto Committee. The success of this Historical day is due to the dedicated volunteers down through the years. Please help out.
