Division 1A will go to the wire

THIS is a division that will go right down to the wire with AC Athletic, Castlegregory, Athletico Ardfert, QPR and Ballyheigue the more fancied sides.

However newly promoted Strand Road and Sporting Listowel also could have the prowess to feature in the title race.

CG Killarney, who just barely survived relegation last season, will be hoping to do well this season and they should if they can put a few wins together at the start of the season.

Skeliga FC are another side that could feature in the title race if they can show more consistent form than they did last season.

Ballyhar Dynamos had a good mid table finish last season and will also be hoping to fare well again this season.

Of course, much is also expected of newly promoted Strand Road and Sporting Listowel and they could also be in the mix by the end of the season.

Dominos Pizza Cup finalists QPR will want to keep their momentum going and if they show consistent form they could be in with a shout by the end of the season.

Killarney Celtic B will be no pushover either and will be a difficult side to beat especially on home turf.
