Mitchels were our opponents in the Central Region semi-final in Ballymac last Monday evening. We were forced to line out without 5 of our regular team due to injuries and this had a big influence on the outcome. Mitchels got off to a great start and we were 8 points down midway through the half. As Ballymac came more into the game this was reduced to 3 points at half time ,eventually drawing level in the second half before the visitors pulled away in the final 10 minutes. Dara Reagan got our first three points ,one a fine effort from near the sideline, meanwhile Mitchels replied with 2 points. Two goals inside 2 minutes was the beginning of a purple patch for our opponents who followed on with four points. Dylan Dunne had pointed for us,before Dara Keane kicked three points to bring us more into the game. The visitors again pointed before Barry Lyons was brought down in the square, with D Reagan converting the penalty. Mitchels again pointed and D Keane pointed for us leaving the score at half time 2-8 to 1-8 in Mitchels favour. Both sides kicked 3 points early in the second half ours coming from D Reagan (2) and D Keane. Dara Keane intercepted a quick kick out ,raced through and goaled levelling the game. Our opponents responded with 3 more points while Tadhg Brick pointed for us. Mitchels kicked another 3 points before the finishing comfortable winners. Cathal Dunne, David Rodgers, and Dylan Dunne Moriarty worked hard on a disappointing end to the season for our minors. U-14: Having Defeated St Pats and Kerins O Rahilly’s in our earlier Games, our U 14 B Team played against a fancied Austin Stacks team in the Town League Final. Both Teams started quite well, but after ten minutes of the first half we began to Dominate possession around the middle of the field with Andy Rogers and Donal Daly in particular playing superbly. From this period of dominance, we went from being level at 2 Points apiece to go into a commanding 6-point lead. Maurice o’ Connell, Niall Collins, and Sean Rice were linking well up front, and were ably assisted by Gary Lynch at full Forward. However, against the run of play Stacks struck for two goals and one point to go in at half time leading
