GAA Results: U12s had a strong win in their match against Tralee Parnells in Caherslee last Friday. NK Intermedia­te championsh­ip semi final played last Sunday with a result of Causeway 1-6 Kilmoyley 1-14. 6th September last defeating Beale on a score line 5.12 to 3.17. UNDER 12’S: Knock/Brosna will take part in the Drstrict Blitz this Friday 15th September in Ballymac at 6.30pm. CAMOGIE: Congratula­tions to the Kerry U14 camogie team who won Division 4 of the All Ireland blitz in Trinity Gaels GAA, Dublin on Saturday. Following victories in all their group games, Kerry faced Roscommon in the final. Things didn’t start out well for Kerry however as they trailed by five points in the early stages. But the Kerry girls gathered momentum and in the end won by 4-2 to 4-0.

The Cillard club had a strong representa­tion with players Maeve Godley, Dervla Jeffers, Alannah Strich, Chloe Casey, Clara Heather, Kellie Meehan, Aisling Hanafin, Jessica O’Sullivan, Ellen Cooke, Amy Corridan, Saoirse O’Carroll, Amy McCarthy, Amy O’Sullivan and Ciara Sheehan all members of the panel while Joe Walsh was a member of the management team. CILLARD: Sunday was a very special day for our U10 camogie team who travelled to Croke park to watch the camogie All Ireland finals. The girls really enjoyed the occassion and are already looking forward to playing at the venue themselves in the next few years.

JUVENILE HURLING CLUB: The U8 team played their final blitz of the season last Friday evening in Causeway. The cold rain showers did not deter this group of young players as they took on Tralee Parnells, Abbeydorne­y and Causeway. With some great skills on show they put in a great performanc­es in the three matches so well done to all involved. PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Well done to Jack Corridon who was awarded Player of the Week by Ardfert Football Club. Jack showed his class with a range of skills ranging from balance, co-ordination Gura fada buan tú Jack. INTERMEDIA­TES: Well done to our Intermedia­tes who have qualified for the final of the North Kerry championsh­ip with a 1-15 to 1-6 win over Causeway at Lerrig on Sunday. Played in winter type conditions, scores were difficult to come by early on, but a Conor Fitzell goal helped to give the home side a four point half time lead. Kilmoyley dominated the second half with Micheal Regan in fine free taking form and Joe McElligott finding his range from play.

KERRY U21S: A four year gap was bridged on Saturday in Semple stadium, Thurles as the Kerry U21 hurlers won their first All Ireland B title since 2013 defeating Wicklow 2-12 to 2-8 in the final.
