HURLING CLUB; FIXTURES; County Senior Hurling Championship Semi Final, Lixnaw v Ardfert in Austin Stack Park on Sunday Sept 24th at 1-45. County Minor Hurling Championship Quarter Final Lixnaw v Crotta on Wednesday Sept 20th. Venue to be decided.

KERRY HURLING; U21s; The Richie McElligott cup is finally back in Lixnaw following Kerry 2-12 to 2-8 win over Wicklow in the All Ireland U21 B final in Thurles last Saturday. At the end of a tough battle, Lixnaw man and Kerry captain Darragh Shanahan, who unfortunately was unable to take his place because of injury, very fittingly was presented with the cup which is named after one of Lixnaws all time greats. A large Kerry contingent were present at the match as were members of the McElligott family. The cup arrrived back in Lixnaw Saturday night where a large crowd turned to show their appreciation before giving them a warm welcome.
