DENNY DIVISION 1B

Listowel Celtic B 3 St Brendans Park 6

THE Park made a welcome comeback in a lower division and they proved to be too strong for Listowel Celtic at Pat Kennedy Park winning the game with plenty left in the bag. The star of the game for the winners was Mikey Burke who bagged 5 goals. Listowel went ahead from the penalty spot after 12 minutes and 5 minutes later The Park equalised also from the penalty spot Mikey Burke scoring. Burke netted two more before half time to leave it 3-1 at the break.

Listowel fought back well in the second half and a brace of goals put the sides on level terms. The introduction of Nathan O’Leary gave The Park a more cutting edge and two more goals from Burke had the Tralee side almost home. They put the icing on the cake late on with Aaron Ward scoring their sixth goal.
