LATE JOHNNY ENRIGHT

The local community was greatly saddened at the news of the death of Johnny Enright of Carrig Island.

A very well known and highly respected member of the local community Johnny was held in the highest regard by everyone who knew him.

Coming from a family with a strong farming background Johnny had a great love of the land and was a progressive small farmer.

He was very well known on the local social scene and enjoyed a few sociable drinks and a good chat with his friends and neighbours.

The esteem in which Johnny and his family are held locally was reflected in the very large and wideLy representative congregations that turned out for the removal of his remains from Lynch’s Funeral Home in Ballylongford to the local Church and again at the Requiem Mass and internment which took place to Aghavallin Cemetery.

Deepest sympathey is extended ti his wife Bridia, son Seamus, daughter Catriona, brothers Mick, Jerry and Tom and all other family members and relatives.

MENS SHED

There will be a meeting in the Community Centre on Monday 18th September at 8pm to re-start Asdee Mens Shed for the winter months and beyond. All those interested in getting involved or with new ideas on the project are most welcome to come along and share in the conversation.
