BEREAVEMENT

The unexpected and sad passing of John Johnney Enright R.I.P. of Carrig Island has come as a huge shock to everybody in the community and beyond. Johnny as he was more affectionately known was born and reared in Carrig Island and remained there on the family farm all of his life, a very kind and good natured gentleman he always had a time to greet, listen and converse with everybody.

As a member of the farming community, he worked hard on the family farm on the Island where he and his good wife Bridie reared their two children. His daily trips to the village for his daily paper and messages was a drive he dearly loved as he would meet with locals and discuss the events that were taking place both locally and further afield.

But alas his last trip of this nature took place on last Thursday just 24 hours prior to his sad passing. Johnny also enjoyed a sociable drink where again he would get to meet so many people, his visits to his local was again a chance to catch up on the local happenings and of course his opportunity to play a game of Pool of which he was exceptionally good at. Indeed Johnney’s passing has created a huge void in the lives of his family and friends to which we extend our deepest sympathies, to his loving family of wife Bridie, son Seamus, daughter Catriona, brothers Mick (Kildare), Jerry (England) and Tom (Macroom), son in law Ivan, daughter in law Doreen, grandchildren Jack, Rachel and Erica, nephews, nieces, family relatives and wide circle of friends.

Johnney’s remains lay in repose at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Ballylongford, on last Sunday evening with removal to St Michael of the Archangel Church, Ballylongford. Funeral Mass was on Monday followed by interment at Aghavallen Cemetry, Rusheen, Ballylongford. May He Rest In Peace.
